The Mo'ili'ili Resident Managers' Association (MRMA) was
founded by 3 Resident Managers in the Mo'ili'ili neighborhood
of Honolulu in March of 1999.
Starting with only these three, the Association grew quickly
to now include building managers throughout the Island of Oahu.
When the Association's continued growth moved beyond Mo'ili'ili,
it was considered, at one point, to change the name to the Oahu
Resident Managers' Association, but the founders came to the
conclusion that its "roots" were in the Mo'ili'ili
area and the name should remain. MRMA is open to all Building
Managers in Hawaii, and MRMA continues to enjoy steady growth
throughout the community and will reflect that growth on this
web site.
The MRMA luncheon meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of
each month, January through November, at Sam Snead's Tavern
and Restaurant in the Navy-Marine Club House, 943 Valkenburgh
St., Honolulu. The meetings begin at 11:45 AM. Attendees and

MRMA is run entirely by committees and concentrates on Residential
Management, keeping in touch with our 'Community Spirit' through
which we continually evolve. The organization's slogan is Honesty/Integrity/Dedication
to Residential Management.

PROJECT COORDINATOR
Secretary Ben Merritt hosts the meetings at Sam Snead's Tavern
and Restaurant, and assists in meeting timeliness.
DIRECTOR OF PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
President Ed Chojnowski, (Parkland Gardens), one of our three
founders, is responsible for communications between the various
companies/corporations that sponsor our monthly meetings. Ed
also schedules our guest speakers. Ed can be reached at 941-4048

MEMBERSHIP
Director Dottie Collins, ARM® is responsible
for maintaining our member listing and information provided
by the membership so that MRMA receives and disseminates correct
information regarding the meetings and vendors. Dottie can be

HUMAN RESOURCES
Director Bruce Thompson, ARM® chairs the committee
which interviews potential resident manager applicants before
their interview with the property manager or Board of Directors.
The committee does not give a 'grade' on the interviews, but
strives to assist the applicant in presenting an effective,
positive presentation to the hiring committee. The committee
also advises the membership of properties that are seeking new
managers.
PRODUCT/SERVICES QUALITY CONTROL COMMITTEE
Christina Lee (Royal Capital Plaza) manages a list of suggested
vendors recommended by the members that provide products/services
and also recommends continuing education/opportunities that
are presented to the membership.
POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE
Jane Sugimura, Esq. of the Hawaii Council of the Associations
of Apartment Owners assists communications between our Association
and the local government agencies.
COMMUNICATIONS
Director Bruse Echmann (Mo`ili`ili Gardens) provides information
to the media regarding MRMA and keeps a pulse on our community
interests.
WEBSITE
Director Charlie Bratton, ARM® (Atkinson Plaza)
is our webmaster and maintains our web site.
COMMUNITY PARTNERS
Community partnership with Honolulu Police Department from the
various districts on Oahu provide the members with current statistics
of crimes, and improvement programs in their respective districts.
The HPD officers also offer tips to members regarding crime
prevention in their neighborhoods. We are extremely proud of
their partnership with our Association and we support the Honolulu
Police Department.
